The TRANSISM movement began with the mythical figure of TRANSIS, the superheroine of Israel resurrected from ancient Greece, at one fateful moment when Dana International was invited to light a torch and, due to transgender exclusion on Jewish religious grounds, her figure was deleted from the official torch-lighting ceremony. The foundations of the movement began with the establishment of Q Gallery in 2023, a Hebrew gallery for queer art
